We are developing the blueprint for Toronto’s next mixed-use community: Rail Deck Development
Rail Deck Development is a once-in-a-generation placemaking opportunity to build a world-class, mixed-use community in downtown Toronto. It proposes to turn the unused air space over the rail corridor between Spadina Avenue and Blue Jays Way into a vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood where people will want to live, visit, and connect. GET INVOLVED
Rail Deck Development is rooted in collaboration with the local community and the City of Toronto. Community consultation has helped shape the latest technical proposal, which includes several design updates as a direct result of their valuable feedback. This landmark project is still a work in progress, and the development team looks forward to ongoing engagement with the local community throughout the development process. REVIEW OUR PAST EVENTS
The Rail Deck Development team and the City of Toronto hosted an in-person open house and virtual town hall to discuss the proposed transformation of the rail corridor between Blue Jays Way and Bathurst Street into a dynamic mixed-use development, Rail Deck Development. The proposal includes nine buildings, ranging from 36 to 72 storeys and featuring residential units, office spaces, retail areas, a hotel, and childcare facilities, and a new city park to enhance green space and community life. We thank the community for sharing valuable insights during the sessions to help shape the vision for this placemaking project. nOVEMBER, 2024
